ITOS 1310 - Managing a MS Windows Client Environment

Prerequisite: ITNT-1500 or ITNC-1000

Objectives:

1. Install the current Windows client.
2. Activate Windows.
3. Install hardware device drivers.
4. Configure IPv4 and IPv6 network settings.
5. Configure Windows Firewall.

Outcome 2: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to configure access to Windows client resources.

1. Installing, Upgrading, and Migrating to Windows 7
   1. Perform a clean installation.
      1. This objective may include but is not limited to identifying hardware requirements; setting up as the sole operating system; setting up as dual boot; installation methods; boot from the source of installation, preparing the installation source: USB, CD, network share, WDS.
   2. Upgrade to Windows 7 from previous versions of Windows.
